Investigations Division


The Investigations Division of the Madison County State's Attorney's Office consists of one full-time investigator, a sworn law enforcement officer, who assists as needed in follow-up investigations, serving of subpoenas, and overall trial preparation. He/she works to prepare witnesses for trial by locating them, interviewing them and bringing them to court; handles all evidence; oversees and processes walk-in complaints; conducts criminal history checks; serves subpoenas; assists the Assistant State's Attorney in all aspects of case preparation and serves as a liaison with police departments. The Investigator also serves as a liaison with the State's Attorney's Office's Bad Check Restitution Program.
